Voting is for Adults Only -Jacob Simard

Voting is not only a right it is a privilege and we should not lower the age limit to 16 years old because they are not mature enough to vote. Politicians could be elected because they would vote without knowing what they are talking about. Most of 16 years old teens would not go vote because they don't care, most of them are very lazy and finally they are not mature enough to vote properly.
First of all, most 18 years old adults do not go vote. So why would teenagers go vote? Most teens are very lazy, they have difficulty getting out of their beds. Logically if you are too lazy to get out of your own bed you will be too lazy to go vote outside of your own home. People do not realise that most teenagers do not care about who is elected or who is there own prime-minister. This is why they wont even go vote.
Secondly, a lot of adults do not care about politics and even more teenagers do not care about politics. This is hard to beleive but it is true. Once I saw a survey on television about the 2014 Quebec elections and many people did not know who were the candidates for the elections. This means that these people would not even go vote or they would go vote but they would not go vote for someone they like but for someone they dont even know.
Lastly, teenagers in the first place are not very mature. This will cause teens to make uneducated voting decisions during elections. This will happen since they wont even bother to follow the news and see who the candidates are and what are there point of views on what they are going to do if they are elected. This is one of the most important reason why we should not lower the legal age to vote to 16 years old.
In conclusion, teenagers would not even go vote, they dont care about politics and finally they are not mature enough to vote. Voting is not only a right it is a privelege and teens are not mature enough to handle it.2
