Individuality Overpowers Fashion by Frédérique Plante

"Look at her, those shoes are so last season, now it's all about the pastel colours". But what if she likes those shoes and wants to wear them? Fashion isn't worth it, what you wear is your choice and it's self-expression. We judge people by their looks, and what they wear, but we're all different. Everyone should have their own style and sense of fashion. Clothing is all about self-expression, standing out from the crowd, and keep up with all the latest trends can be heavy on the wallet.

What you wear is what you desire to wear. If you want to dress in black, go for it. The clothes on your body defines your personality, your tastes. If you like rock music, you probably won't dress like a princess.

Also, you change and your style does too. What truly matters is that you're comfortable on what you're wearing. Don't try to do it for anyone except yourself. People won't judge you by the fact your shirt is last season or your socks don't watch.

It's all about individuality. Be yourself, don't follow trends. It's better to stand out than to blend in. You can follow your favourite trends, but all your own flare to it. Like mentioned, what you wear defines you. "Normal" people are boring.
They all dress the same, and act the same. Be the difference. Everyone has their own style, and who cares what people think about what you're wearing? If you can rock it, do it.

Clothing stores' prices keep increasing. A basic tee shirt may cost you twenty-five dollars just because it's from a "popular" brand. Indeed, having brand names all over your clothes with random numbers is quite cool. Following the latest trends may be harsh on the piggy bank. Try  to find an alternative, a similar item similar to the overly priced item. It's not like people check your clothing tags before talking to you. You can afford more pieces of clothing for less, and they're stick with one tee shirt.

In conclusion, fashion is not worth it. You should be able to wear whatever you want. The most important is that you wear what you love, and stand out from the crowd. Also those over priced brand clothes are far from worrying it. Wear what defines you. Do you boo boo.
