should we care about events in other parts of the world by lenny
Everyday on the news weather its on t.v., the newspaper, online, magazines...etc. we constantly see major events going on in other parts of the world. topics like the weather(natural disasters), politics, religion, sports, wars/manifestations and so on, should it matter to us? my answer is yes, because we can be informed, we can know if something will affect areas nearby and if we want to do something to make a change.
we should care about events in other countries because what happens over there can affect us some way over here because it will be all over the news. the weather is a perfect example because we can make sure if a disaster happens to be prepared and to know what is coming or what other places will be affected by it. the news is there to alert us and for us to know precisely the good information.
I is also important because a lot of people travel, and by looking on the news for current events where they will be travelling will inform them and possibly change their decision because of things such as a disease or war and the only way to know for sure is because we have all this information in our face and is given whenever something big happens.
Lastly, most of the time we see companies that ask for donations to help people around the world and the images we see can affect some people more than others and that will give them the idea to do the same thing and help people. because these events happen and are shown to us it can really help them out and get them out of their horrible living conditions because of us that are watching them go through it with our media.
In conclusion, it is very important to know, care and value the fact that we have all these resources to be informed about current events around the world.
